Year 6 visit the Buddhist Temple
During our Faith week and educating our children that everyone in our country has the individual right to worship or not, year 6 visited the Buddhist Temple in the Lake District,
May Procession
On Friday we processed with Mary to St. Bernadette's school, where we took part in a special mass for Mary. We enjoyed time at the shrine and in the prayer garden also and even got some lovely cakes!
Minister of The Word
During our mass on Friday, our Year 5 Ministers of The Word were commissioned by father David, after completing their special program.
Washing of the feet
We remembered Jesus' journey through Holy Week with the washing of feet.
Lenten Breakfast
Continuing with our giving, we offered free breakfast to our families. Thank you to everyone who joined us.
HOLY MUDDER!
What a brilliantly bonkers day! We had the greatest time climbing, crawling and splashing in mud. A fabulous way to raise money for our Lenten Charity 2026.
Lent 2026
We began Lent here at Holy Family with the receipt of the ashes. Father David also came to hear year 5 and 6 confession.
Advent Mass
A beautiful shared Advent celebration was had at Christ the King church, shared with all the local catholic primary schools. What a glorious way to share the true meaning of Advent.
Choir and coffee
We served up a treat, both musical and sweet, for our choir and coffee event this week. This event is not only to showcase the fantastic work of our school choirs but also to involve and serve our community. Our student council were on hand to serve teas, coffees and sweet treats and also set a very tricky quiz! We had a fantastic turn out of our local parishioners; thanks to all who came.
Exposition
Year 5 and 6 attended church with Father David and were witnesses to exposition of the Blessed Sacrament.
Rosary Club
Our Governor, Eileen, came in today on the Feast of Our Lady of the Rosary to start our Rosary club for October. Eileen taught our chaplaincy team how to pray the rosary and the team will then be teaching other children to do the same in Rosary club after every assembly on Monday in October.
