Admissions to Holy Family Catholic Primary School

As a one form entry Catholic Primary school, Governors will admit up to 30 pupils per class. Should the number of requests for places exceed this, places will be allocated according to the oversubscription criteria in the school's Admissions Policy below.

If you are seeking a place at Holy Family from another Blackpool school please complete the attached Transfer form. Please note that this needs to be signed by the Head Teacher of the Blackpool school your child currently attends.

Admissions to School EYFS 2022

If your child was born between 1st September 2017 and 31st August 2018,  you must apply for a primary school Reception (EYFS) place for September 2022.                                                              (Applications are required for all children with a 4th birthday between 1st September 2021 and 31st August 2022.)

Before you complete and submit your application you are advised to read Blackpool Council's guide for parents at www.blackpool.gov.uk/schooladmissions                                                                     The on-line system offers a quick and secure means of applying for places. Paper applications and information booklets are available from schoolaccess@blackpool.gov.uk or telephone 01253 476637.

CLOSING DATES FOR  APPLICATIONS FOR EYFS SEPTEMBER 2022  - 15th JANUARY 2022                    Applications received after the closing dates will be processed after all those which are received on time. If you apply late this may reduce your chance of an offer for one of your preferred schools.

If you pay your council tax to Wyre or Fylde then you will need to access Lancashire's on-line application system at  www.lancashire.gov.uk. You can still express preferences for Blackpool schools on Lancashire's application system.                                                                       


By 15 May 2022      Appeal forms to be received by Democratic Services, in order to be heard in the first round of hearings. Appeal forms can be submitted after this deadline but the hearing will not be held until later in the year.

By 22 May 2022     Any additional documents that parents/carers wish to provide (ie. medical evidence) should be sent to Democratic Services.

By 29 May 2022    Notification of appeal hearings will be sent to parents/carers.

By 26 June 2022    Appeals that have been submitted by 15 May 2022 will be heard by Independent Appeals Panels
